Upper Hutt Repair Café House Rules
We ask all our visitors who bring items for repair to read and agree to the House Rules. These rules protect our volunteers and make it clear what we and our volunteers are responsible for. Here are the House Rules:
Before providing your items for repair, please take a moment to read and acknowledge the following:
- You are encouraged to repair your items with the support and guidance of our skilled volunteers.
- Volunteers are here to help but are not obligated to carry out repairs.
- Repairs are offered as-is, with no guarantee of success.
- Volunteers are not responsible for reassembling an item that cannot be repaired.
- You are required to remove from the Repair Cafe event any items you brought in, whether repaired or not.
- Any arrangements to complete a repair outside of the Repair Cafe event are subject to conditions agreed between you and the repairer, are completely separate from Upper Hutt Repair Cafe and may incur charges not imposed by Upper Hutt Repair Cafe.
- Volunteers are not liable for any injury, loss, or property damage related to the use of items brought for repair, whether on the day or at any later time.
- The Upper Hutt Repair Café Trust, its Board and every volunteer expressly accept no liability whatsoever, whether direct or consequential, in respect of any action to repair or not to repair any item.
